Anatomy of a Meltdown
Tonight I went to see 'Anatomy of a Meltdown' one of many monthly presentations put on by Adelaide University as part of 'Research Tuesday' - a chance for real people to come face to face with university researchers.
The presentation is actually titled 'The GFC forum: Cause, effect and recovery'. Yep, the big Global Financial Crisis being discussed by academics in the public domain with more insight than market analysts and just enough to see active knowledge transference. It was a hoot!
MyProfile Behavioural Report
One thing that I think is inherently flawed is the use of behavioral profiling to select staff. At the end of the day I see them as an excellent management tool to assist in communication styles but find it somewhat pointless beyond that.
This applies doubly to testing that is able to be paid for and completed by anyone without the direct supervision of a professional psychologist.
