Cold shower anyone?

You know it will be an interesting night when the weather forecast involves both a severe wind warning and a storm warning for the area where you live. It was only a year ago that the same thing happened and we lost the roof above our bedroom. It took six months for the company chosen by the insurance assessor to finish the job. What a bother!

Thankfully this did not occur again last night. However, power was lost during those key hours of the night when off-peak hot water services are usually running. So, I wonder how many people wound up with a cold shower this morning? Thankfully, we have a solar hot water system and we only suffered the lack of an off-peak booster.

We survived the day, including morning showers thankfully, without the water going cold. Also, no trees fell in our street this time which is more than I can say for Minnow Reserve. If I can I'll try for photos tomorrow.
